Welcome to Cherished Wish!

Inspired by the arrival of our oldest son from Seoul, South Korea, we were looking for a special way to commemorate his adoption.  Reflection resulted in my poem, Cherished Wish, along with imagery of a sun, a heart, and a star. 

The sun - for birth parents and "nature."
The heart - for adoptive parents and "nurture"
The star - the child - the blessed combination of birth and adoptive families

The poem inspired a line of gifts for families touched by adoption.  Our gifts are perfect for adoptive parents, birthparents, adoptees, and waiting families.  

Since our start in 2001, people have told me that they are inspired by the way that Cherished Wish honors both birth and adoptive families.  I hope you enjoy the poem - my tribute to the tremendous gift that adoption has been in the life of our family!
