After a long struggle with infertility and all the grief that comes with it, simply making the decision to adopt was a huge relief.  Little did we know what a huge blessing it would be!

We chose to build our family through international adoption, selected an excellent agency, and over the course of a few years, adopted two boys.  Today, they are happy, energetic school-agers, and we could not be more proud of them.

Parenting is a gift and a privilege.  Adoption has healed my heart, and renewed my faith.  Each day, I am inspired to be the best parent I can, by the simple fact that our children's birthmothers and God have entrusted them to us.  My poem, Cherished Wish was inspired by, and written as a tribute to that gift.
